CDJH Cheer Tryout Week

So excited for the upcoming cheer tryouts! We have had a lot of interest this year and I am super excited to see how tryouts will go! Here is a little run down of how the week will go!

Monday, April 11th:  No Clinics!

Tuesday, April 12th: Clinics at 6:15 am - 7:45 am & Tryout Packets Due (parents will be allowed to record the 9th graders doing the dance and cheer the first 15 min of clinics on this day ONLY) the rest of the time the girls will learn the first half of the dance and cheer, as well as go over jumps & tumbling if they want any help!

Wednesday, April 13th: Clinics 6:15 am - 7:45 am -  girls will be learning the second half of the dance and cheer as well as go over any jumps and tumbling they want help with!

Thursday, April 14th: Mock Tryout Info & Review 6:15 - 7:45 am - the girls will have time to review the dance and cheer and then the last 20 min we will show them how tryouts the next day will be ran.

**On Thursday the girls will each be given a Class Attendance Sign Off Sheet. They must take this to each class on Friday & have their teach sign off that they attended the entire class. If this is not turned into me Friday before tryouts they will not receive their number and will not be permitted to tryout. **

Friday, April 15th: Tryout Day!! Candidates need to meet in the Gym no later than 2:15 pm to turn in attendance sheet & receive number. They will have until about 2:30 in the gym to warm-up. They will then be escorted to the waiting area (flex room or cafeteria) Tryouts will start no later than 2:40 pm!

(the city is supposed to be coming in to set up for basketball by 5 or 5:30 so I'm hoping to be finished by then. the tryouts will run fast and organized to get all the girls finished in a timely manner)

Results will be posted on this Cheer Blog later Friday evening
(a time will be given to the girls after tryouts when I dismiss them)

Tryout Info 

• Mandatory Cheer Tryout Parent Meeting: March 18, 2016 @ 2:15 pm in Flex Room (Orchestra Room) 
• Clinics will be held Tuesday, April 12th - Thursday, April 14th at 6:15 am - 7:45 am (Armory or Main Gym still TBD)
• Parents will be allowed to come to the first 15 min of the first day of clinics to record the 9th graders doing the cheer & dance 
• Tryouts will be held Friday, April 15th. They will start at 3 pm, but all candidates are asked to meet in the gym at 2:45 pm to check-in and receive their number

Important Forms to Turn In: 

• Teacher Evaluations are to be put in my box in the office by Friday, April 8th! (the girls will need to remind their teachers to do this) The teachers have to turn them in they may not be given back to the girls to have them turn the papers in. 
• Cheer Packet will be turned into me the first day of clinics, Tuesday April 12! 
• I will go over all this info at the Parent Meeting as well!
